PTA launches new system to prevent lost and stolen mobile phones


Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) has launched a new Automatic Lost and Stolen Device System (LSDS) to track lost, stolen and snatched mobile phones to facilitate people to access their lost mobile phones.  ) Has started.  The new system aims to provide convenience and convenience to users who want to block mobile phones in case of theft, snatching or loss.


Complainants can easily apply to the PTA to prevent IMEI of such handsets to prevent possible misuse.


 LSDS is an automated system and integrates with the PTA's Device Identification, Registration and Blocking System (DIRBS).  The stolen mobile phone will be blocked within 24 hours of reporting after the necessary verification. To be eligible for this service, users must first contact the PTA through the Authority's Online Complaints Management System (CMS).  Applications must be submitted through www.pta.gov.pk.  For any additional information or inquiries, customers can also call the PTA Consumer Support Center (CSC) toll free number 0800-55055 from 9am.  After successful registration of the blocking application around 9:00 am on Saturday, the complainant will receive the complaint reference number.


 And when the mobile phone is recovered, the complainant has to follow the same procedure to block it through CMS and also mention the reference number of his complaint along with his required details which will be sent to the mobile phone.  They were given first to stop.  After the mobile phone is unlocked, the user will receive an SMS to the registered number.
